Hello and I welcome you all at global affairs Recently, a very major development related to India's security has come to light. The first production series fighter aircraft of LCA Tejas Mark-1A, an improved version of LCA Mk-1, has already been inducted into the Indian Air Force (IAF).  has completed its maiden flight in Bengaluru on Thursday.  Defense PSU HAL, which is manufacturing the Tejas Mk-1A or LCA Mk1A developed by the Bengaluru-based DRDO lab Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), had been conducting various taxi trials for the past several days.  Thursday's maiden flight lasted 18 minutes and was piloted by HAL's chief test pilot (fixed wing) Group Captain (retd) KK Venugopal.  It was an advanced variant of Tejas in which innovative technology was used and it will also have a 2 seater variant. LA5033, the first aircraft of the Tejas Mk1A aircraft series, took to the skies today (Thursday) from the HAL facility in Bengaluru.  It was a successful flight with a flight time of 18 minutes,” HAL said on Thursday.

This was very important for India because the number of required squadron runs in India is 42 but the number of active squadrons present in India is 31, due to which India is in great need of indigenous fighter aircraft, which this fighter  jet will do fulfill.

And let's talk about the Tejas squadron currently on service in India. The Indian Air Force already has two Tejas squadrons, 'Flying Daggers' and 'Flying Bullets', one of which is now deployed in the south-western sector facing Pakistan.

Tejas fighter jet is a best-in-class fighter jet and in its 16 years of career, there has been only one accident so far, that too on 12th March this month, but in this cases, the pilot survived safely and there were no casualties.  .  This advanced version of Tejas is very important to meet the security needs of India and moreover, it is also a replacement for the foreign aircraft MiG 21 because the casualty rate in MiG 21 is very high, that is why the Government of India.  And Indian Air Service is going to retire MIG 21 soon and it will be replaced by Tejas fighter jet.
