China start crying over Elon Musk's India visit

 Hello and I welcome you all at Global affairs, recently, after Apple, another US company is going to enter India this will boost the Indian economy and at the same time the company will also benefit economically by investing in the world fastest growing economy. along with this, Chinese company like BYD and one other company  Vinfast are also keen to invest in India. but musk who has already expressed his intention to introduce Tesla electric vehicles in India, is most important for India as other company officials are also expected to accompany him during his visit. the meeting is scheduled to take place in the last week of April, although specific details have been kept secret so far.

But it is being estimated that elon musk can invest more than $4 billion US Dollar in India. and it is expected that Elon Musk will also launch a special car for the Indian market, whose price range will be under 20 lacs.

Musk met PM Modi during his US visit in June, 2023.  when PM Modi was meeting big industrialists of America where he discussed his plans to visit India in 2024 and tesla's imminent entry into the Indian market.

Musk's visit comes after the Indian government recently announced a new electric vehicle policy, which provides concession in import duty to companies investing a minimum of  $500 Millions in setting up manufacturing unit in the country.

Tesla had last year sought a cut in duty on import of its vehicles from the Indian government. as his biggest objection and was that India has the highest import duty and needs to be worked out in 2022, musk announced that Tesla would not start manufacturing in India until it was allowed to sale and service its cars in the country, last year he had suggested that Tesla could set up a manufacturing unit in India, contingent on the success of its imported vehicles.

Musk had expressed his desire to launch Tesla vehicles in India, lamenting the highest import duty in the world compared to any major country.

Why is China so sad with this news?

This is a huge achievement for India at the same time it is a disappointing news for China, because sometime ago Apple also shifted its manufacturing factories from China and established it in India and Vietnam and now  Elon Musk's Tesla car company is also moving towards setting up it's manufacturing unit from China to other countries, at the same time when BYD a very big electronic car company of China, sometime ago offered to establish BYD car manufacturing unit in India by investing $1 billion US dollar in India, but the Indian government rejected it.

However it is now being said that BYD is thinking of increasing it's investment and giving a new offer to India, but when Elon musk announced that he will visit India this month and meet PM Modi than China's state media Global time started criticizing India. it is clear from this that China is afraid of India's growing economic potential and it does not like the American company leaving China and shifting to India.
