Pakistan and Turkey set bilateral trade target of $5 billion dollars

Hello and I welcome you all at Global affairs Recently the President of Turkey extended his warm greetings to the newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif for being elected for his second term. Following this in a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Paksi at the Prime Minister's Office in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz congratulated both the  Called upon the sides to enhance their bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest including trade, defence, connectivity and culture.

Pakistan and Turkey have consistently supported each other on key issues and will continue to do so in the future, he said.  And while setting the target, he said that Pakistan and Turkey will have to maintain mutual cooperation to achieve bilateral trade of  $5 billion dollars every year.

Shahbaz Sharif has been re-elected as Prime Minister for his second term although there was a lot of lack of transparency yet he is now the Prime Minister of Pakistan Congratulatory telephone call and greetings from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan immediately after his re-election  Appreciating the message, PM Shehbaz congratulated Turkey for the recent successful maiden flight of its indigenously developed 5th generation fighter aircraft KAAN.

Reiterating his invitation to Turkish President Erdogan to visit Islamabad, he said that the people of Pakistan are looking forward to the visit which will also provide an opportunity for wide-ranging discussions during the 7th session of the High-level Strategic Coordination Council.

Pakasi (Turkish Ambassador), on his part, congratulated Sharif on his re-election and extended best wishes from the Turkish leadership.  It is worth noting that both the countries are members of the OIC group and many a times they criticize India together on the global platform, but it will be interesting to see whether these two nations, Pakistan and Turkey, have a trade of 5 billion dollars.  This is whether they will be successful in achieving the ambitious target or not because both the countries are currently facing an economic crisis and the inflation rate in both the nations is at record high and Pakistan does not even export any special architecture which Turkey needs.

Mutual cooperation between Türkiye and Pakistan.

Turkey and Pakistan agree on many issues like Israel Palestine war, Armenia Azerbaijan war and Kashmir issue and when India removed Article 370, Turkey came in support of Pakistan and criticized India, although there is no concrete issue behind it.  Supports Pakistan only on the basis of its religion.
