Malaysia Masters | PV Sindhu defeated Chinese player and entered the semi-finals

 World number 15 Sindhu defeated top seed Han Yu of China 21-13, 14-21, 21-12 in a 55-minute match in the women's singles quarterfinal match on Friday. This strong victory would have given her a lot of confidence for the semifinals. And through this, she avenged her defeat from the Chinese player in the Asian Badminton Championship held in Ningbo last month. Sindhu proved her ability in a 55-minute match. And made a place in the semifinals. Sindhu took a 11-5 lead by the interval after a 3-3 draw in the first game. The Chinese player reduced the margin of defeat to 13-16. But Sindhu won the first game by scoring 5 consecutive points.

In the second game, Han took a 5-0 lead and then extended it to 15-2. Despite Sindhu's hard work, Han won the second game 21-14.  Sindhu took control in the third game and took a 11-3 lead at the interval. Taking advantage of the early lead, Sindhu won the third game 21-12.

Former world champion Sindhu will face Indonesia's Putri Kusuma Wardini or Thailand's Busanan Ongbamrungphan in the semi-finals.
