Hello and I welcome you all at Global affairs. recently China carried out its most extensive military drills in a year around Taiwan, just days after Lai Ching-te took office as the island's new president.China's military exercises have added complications to the new government in Taipei. Opposition lawmakers are pressing for changes to the law aimed at curbing its powers, leading thousands to take to the streets on Tuesday night.
The Chinese maneuvers were being carried out in the Taiwan Strait; north, south and east of Taiwan; and around the offshore islands of Kinmen, Matsu, Wuqiu and Dongyin.It said the drills would last for two days. This direct warning from China was for America because America has repeatedly said that if China tries to harm Taiwan's independence in any way, then America will definitely come forward to protect its democracy. It has been definitely seen that during this war exercise, China has deployed a very large warship there which includes many destroyers and vessels and many aircraft took part in it. This is a very big threat for the newly elected government and it is presenting a very big challenge to the newly elected government after the elections.
For some time now, it has been observed that China has become quite aggressive in the South China Sea because recently there was news that they have also tried to bully the Philippines here in the South China Sea. This aggressive act of China is the biggest threat to world peace because the world is currently stuck in two wars which have caused heavy damage to the world economy and the world is not ready for a new war.
US troops in Taiwan on Full Alert. China has surrounded the rogue province of Taiwan and all its islands for what it calls "punishment" drill. The US is studying this drill very closely and is constantly monitoring it.
