Volcano erupts in Indonesia, displacing 12,000 people.

Hello and I welcome you all at Global affairs .

A plume of ash has filled the sky after an eruption of the Mount Ruang volcano in a remote region of Indonesia, forcing the closure of several airports and the evacuation of thousands of people over fears of a tsunami. Ash from the volcano has spread as far as Malaysia. Mount Ruang erupted three times on Tuesday, prompting authorities to order the evacuation of 12,000 locals. A rescue ship and a warship have been dispatched to evacuate thousands of people from neighbouring Tagulandang Island to Siau Island in the north amid fears of a tsunami.

The alert level remains at the highest level of a four-level system and locals have been urged to stay out of the seven-kilometre exclusion zone.

Indonesia, which lies on the Pacific Ocean's "Ring of Fire", is frequently hit by earthquakes and volcanic activity. The disaster centre in Indonesia is on alert mode. Disaster management officials say two earthquakes were recently struck near Mount Ruang.  Due to this, the tectonic plates became unstable, which caused the volcanic eruption. Let us tell you that Indonesia falls in the region of 'Ring of Fire'. Here there are horse-shoe shaped tectonic fault lines near the Pacific Ocean. As a result, there are 120 active volcanoes in the country.

We pray to God that the situation will be brought under control soon and local life will become normal.
