Paris Olympics 2024 : The road to victory is difficult for Indian women boxers.

Indian boxers Nikhat Zareen and Lovlina Borgohain have a tough road to victory in their respective weight categories at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Nikhat will face Germany's Maxi Carina Kloetzer in the Round of 32 of the women's 50kg boxing event, after which the two-time world champion may face Wu Yu of the People's Republic of China, who is the current Asian Games champion, in the Round of 16. Who will present a tough competition for the match.

But even after this match, Nikhat Zareen's problems will not end because even if the Chinese boxer  Wu Yu defeats , she may face Chuthamat Rakshta of Thailand or Sabina Bobokulova of Uzbekistan in the quarter-finals. Let us tell you that both the boxers defeated Nikhat Jamin in their previous matches. Sabina Bobokulova defeated Nikhat in the Strandja Memorial final and Chuthamat Rakshta defeated Nikhat in the Asian Games semi-finals. This clearly shows that Nikhat Zareen got a tough draw.

And if we talk about Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain will open her campaign against Sunniva Hofstad of Norway in the women's 75kg category and is likely to face two-time Olympic medallist Li Qian of China, who defeated Borgohain in the Asian Games final in Hangzhou, in the quarter-finals.

Asian Games bronze medallist Preeti Pawar will face Vietnam's Vo Thi Kim Anh in the Round of 32.

Jasmine Lamboria will take on Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Nesthy Petecio of the Philippines in her opening bout in the women's 57kg.

If Jasmine progresses to the next round, she will face third seed and reigning European champion Amina Zidani of France.

But India has faith in its girls; they will not disappoint us and will perform brilliantly; whatever the result, we are proud of them.
