 Hello and I welcome you are at Global affairs. Recently Prime Minister Georgia Maloni is seeking compensation of 100000 Euros after some of her deepfake video were uploaded online and went viral causing many people to view them and give their reactions, it has taken a use Blow to her image.

In this case, the 40 year old man believed to be responsible for making the video and his 73 year old father are currently under investigation.

And the Prime ministers lawyer Maria Giulia marongiu has said that defamation case filed against these two people, and compensation has been sought. It is being told that these video is from before she become the prime minister in 2022. And this video is uploaded on a adult website of America. And now on July to Georgia Maloni will have to go to a court in sassari to give testimony. And according to the lawyer this phrase will be donated to some other victimised women.

And according to Italian law it can also be sent to imprisonment for some time along with compensation.

What is Deep fake and what is its impact in India?

Deep fake is a technology by which you can remove a face from someone's photo and replace it with another face and it is very difficult to check that the photo is true or false. once it has been seen that people are miss-using this technology and the same was seen in India sometime ago. when deep fake videos of many Indian actresses like Katrina Kaif, Nora fatehi and rashmika mandhana were made and went viral on social media.

 after this there was a lot of opposition to this technology in India and many famous actors like Amitabh Bachchan opposed it on Twitter(x).

Is it necessary to bring a good law against deepfake?

No doubt this is a great Technology but that present, many wrong videos have been made through deepfake, due to which the image of many respectable peoples has been tarnished and many people have been troubled and moreover, it is very important to ban or restrict it. Because it is against the safety of women. and womens identity and dignity are harmed through this deepfake Technology many times.
