USA's acceptance letter for Predator drone arrives

Recently, India has achieved a very big victory related to defense and India has proved that no matter what the reports say, the defense relations between India and America are very strong and this is clearly visible from the steps of the Wyden administration.  India and the US have further strengthened defense cooperation, with the Biden administration purchasing 31 MQ-9B Predator drones from General Atomics through the government-to-government route.  Final Letter of Approval (LOA) has been sent to the Ministry of Defense for the acquisition of.  America has sent a classified LOA to India this week for the acquisition of about $ 4 billion.

 The US State Department notified the drone deal on February 1, but the draft LOA was kept open for possible objections from US lawmakers for a mandatory 30 days.  But within the last 30 days, none of the law makers have expressed any objection to this deal. The final LOA was sent to India after there was no veto by lawmakers on the US agreement with India.  Now as further action

   The deal will be studied by the Indian Navy, the lead player in the acquisition, and then sent to the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) for approval through the Defense Minister if the price is found satisfactory.  ,  As per the agreement between the armed forces, the Indian Navy will get 16 MQ 9B drones, and the Indian Army and Indian Air Force will get eight each.  India has decided to procure 31 drones with 171 hell-fire AGM 114R missiles, laser guided bombs, missile launchers, ground stations, anti-submarine sonobuoys and full encryption as well as surveillance complement package for the state-of-the-art platform.

What were the doubts about this deal?

This deal has been going on for the last 6 years but for some reason or the other it is getting delayed and recently some major developments have taken place due to which the completion of this deal was in danger because recently America  Made objectionable remarks during a press conference regarding India's recently passed CAA US says it is "closely monitoring" CAA implementation with emphasis on religious freedom;  India subsequently responded by criticizing the comment as "misinformed and inappropriate", saying that lectures should not be attempted by those with limited understanding of India's pluralistic traditions.

After this, there were speculations that this deal could be affected due to this, but this deal has been passed, giving proof that the relations between India and America are very strong in the defense sector.
